
According to the ranking from World Population Review, many Kazakhstanis are puzzled as to how our cuisine could be rated so low, reports Ulysmedia.kz.
According to specialists, the low scores assigned to Kazakhstan's national dishes are due to the ratings given on TasteAtlas. In particular, among the least popular Kazakh dishes are "kazy," "shelpek," "beshbarmak," and "tokash." The lowest scores – 3.3 out of 5 – were given to "kazy" and "shelpek."
Kazakhstan's national cuisine ranked 92nd in the overall ranking, scoring 3.9 points. The study includes data from 99 countries.
