- In February, the Jogorku Kenesh will discuss a draft law concerning the limitation of the frequency of amendments to the codes to once a year. This project has been included in the parliament's work plan.

The document, titled "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic Regarding the Frequency of Amendments," has been developed by the Ministry of Justice.

In the explanatory note to the draft law, the Ministry of Justice emphasizes that the introduction of a norm limiting the frequency of changes to the codes is a significant step towards enhancing the stability and resilience of legal regulation in the country. This, in turn, will create conditions for the formation of legislative practice aimed at long-term goals.

The changes will affect 17 different codes, including:

𑇐 Administrative Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

𑇐 Budget Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

𑇐 Water Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

𑇐 Air Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

It should be noted that the proposed restrictions will not apply in cases where amendments are made by the decision of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic or in accordance with the decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic.
