As a result of the inspection, 16 pawnshops were sealed, while relevant measures continue for the others.
In order to prevent exceeding the established interest rates (no more than 30%) and to ensure strict compliance with the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the Limitation of Usury Activities" No. 163 dated July 24, 2013, explanatory work was carried out with the owners and employees of the pawnshops.
The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic calls on citizens to be vigilant and to carefully review the documents they sign when obtaining loans or engaging in other transactions related to property.
