The exemption for the import of raw cane sugar will be in effect until December 31, 2026, allowing the import of up to 20,000 tons of the product without paying duties.
To take advantage of this customs exemption, a document confirming the industrial purpose of the raw sugar must be provided. It should specify both the importers and the processing enterprises using this product.
This measure is aimed at supporting processing enterprises and providing them with the necessary resources, as well as stabilizing the operation of the domestic market. The introduction of the exemption will create more favorable conditions for industrial processing and improve the utilization of production capacities in the country, reports the Ministry of Agriculture.
