
According to the ambassador, the pressure exerted on Kyrgyzstan in the form of sanctions constitutes interference in the internal affairs of the country. He also emphasized that such restrictions could have serious negative consequences for the republic's economy.
Vakunov stated that the information about the European Union's intentions to impose sanctions against Kyrgyzstan as part of the 20th package was received with great concern in Bishkek. Previously, two banks and several companies from Kyrgyzstan were included in the sanctions lists of European and U.S. countries due to their alleged assistance to Russia in circumventing the imposed restrictions. According to some European media, the next package of sanctions may also consider imposing restrictions on all of Kyrgyzstan.
