A court in Nizhnevartovsk has decided to impose a fine and deport a citizen of Uzbekistan who was praying in a dormitory. This was reported by the publication "Kommersant," citing data from the court registry.
According to available information, the man worked on a rotational basis and lived in a dormitory at a production facility, where he performed prayers five times a day.
According to the case materials, his actions were public, as the door to his room was always left open, allowing other residents and outsiders to observe his practices. Additionally, he shared his religious beliefs with neighbors and kept religious literature accessible to everyone.
The court found the man guilty of violating legislation on freedom of conscience and religious associations, which served as the basis for imposing a fine of 30,000 rubles.
In addition to the fine, the court also ordered the forced deportation of the Uzbek citizen from Russia, arguing that he has no social ties, property, or relatives in the country.
