The modernization project of the Uch-Kurgan HPP covers many aspects, including engineering and design work, development of project documentation, planning of production processes, as well as translation of technical materials and preparation of executive documentation.
As for the dismantling work, 19 specialists are currently involved in the removal of hydro unit No. 2 as the first stage of equipment renewal. Transportation of the dismantled units and aggregates to the warehouse for further inspection and disposal is also underway.
Regarding the supply of new equipment, components for hydro unit No. 2 have already arrived at the warehouse of the Tash-Kumyr HPP Cascade. In particular:
- supplies of components for the stator, rotor, control and monitoring systems, electrical protection, water cooling, and grounding of the generator have been fully completed;
- the supply of debris-catching grids for the water conduit has been completed;
- partial supplies of generator components and the runner have been completed.
Currently, the supply level of equipment for hydro unit No. 2 stands at 47.3%.
The main goal of the modernization of the Uch-Kurgan HPP is to increase the reliability and efficiency of electricity production, as well as to extend the service life of the equipment. This project will ensure the energy security of the country and contribute to the economic development of Kyrgyzstan.
