- At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh today, February 25, deputies reviewed and adopted the bill "On the Ratification of the Protocol Amending the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Border Crossing Points dated December 25, 2003, signed on August 22, 2025, in the city of Bishkek" in the first reading.

The report was presented by the chairman of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, Abdikarim Alimbaev.

In his speech, he noted that the bill proposes changing the status of the border points "Tömönkü-Chüy-automobile" ("Kamyshanovka-automobile") and "Kichi-Kapka-automobile" from bilateral to multilateral (international), as well as transitioning the operating mode of the "Tömönkü-Chüy-automobile" point to round-the-clock.

"The necessity to change the status of these crossing points is dictated by the creation of more favorable conditions for the development of tourism, including an increase in the flow of cargo-passenger transportation and foreign tourists, as well as the improvement of infrastructure," emphasized Abdikarim Alimbaev.
