- On February 27, 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 138, introducing a temporary ban on the export of limestone-shell rock outside the customs zone of the Eurasian Economic Union.

This ban applies to limestone-shell rock that has been extracted or produced on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, including both unprocessed and roughly crushed material, as well as cut or divided into blocks and slabs of square or rectangular shape (according to the EAEU HS codes 2515 11 000 0 and 2515 12 000 0).

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic has been instructed to notify the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission no later than three days before the entry into force of this resolution.

A similar notification must be sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Executive Committee of the CIS within the same timeframe. The State Customs Service and the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic have been tasked with taking measures to prevent the illegal export of the specified goods.

The resolution also cancels the previous decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic dated September 3, 2025, No. 553, which imposed a similar ban.

The new document will come into effect seven days after its official publication.
