According to the Iranian agency Tasnim, about 30 facilities of major IT companies in the Middle East have been designated as "hostile technological infrastructure," which may signal potential targets for attacks, as reported by Euronews.

Iran may target American IT giants amid escalating conflict with the United States, Tasnim, linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), reports.

The agency in its post on X pointed to the assets of companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, NVIDIA, IBM, and Palantir, located in approximately 30 locations in the Middle East, labeling them as "new targets in the region." These facilities have been classified as "hostile technological infrastructure."

Some of the sites mentioned by Tasnim are located in Dubai (UAE) and Tel Aviv (Israel). In Tel Aviv, the list includes the offices of Amazon and Microsoft, as well as the headquarters of defense company Palantir and the engineering center of Nvidia.

According to the list, many sites were selected due to their involvement in the development of artificial intelligence systems or their role in coordinating cloud computing services in the Middle East.

Requests from Euronews Next to Microsoft, Nvidia, Amazon, Google, Oracle, IBM, and Palantir went unanswered at the time of publication.

Two Amazon data centers in the UAE included in the target list were damaged as a result of attacks on March 1. A third data center in Bahrain was affected by debris falling from the site of another strike.

The IRGC previously claimed responsibility for these attacks, stating in state media that the aim was to identify the role of these centers in supporting military and intelligence activities against the adversary.

Offices with Military Connections

The publication noted that four offices of Oracle, IBM, and Google in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Abu Dhabi were highlighted as they allegedly provide infrastructure for "military structures."

In 2021, Amazon and Alphabet, Google's parent company, received (source in English) a contract worth $1.2 billion (€1 billion) from the Israeli government to participate in the Nimbus project, which provided Israel with "basic technological infrastructure," according to a report (source in English) by UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese published in 2025.

Albanese's report emphasizes that these companies, including Microsoft, provide Israel with "virtually ubiquitous access to their cloud and AI technologies" at the government level.

The document also claims that IBM trained Israeli military and intelligence personnel, and there are "reasonable grounds" to believe that Palantir supplied automated predictive analytics technology for police needs in Palestine.

Although Oracle is not mentioned in Albanese's report, the research media organization The Middle East Monitor reported on the company's executives' desire to strengthen the "love for Israel" in U.S.-Israeli relations.

Recently, the U.S. Department of Defense signed a contract with the company worth $88 million (€74.4 million) to integrate (source in English) its cloud software with the U.S. Air Force.
