- According to the information presented during the event, the growth of global energy demand is occurring faster than the introduction of new renewable energy capacities, especially in developing economies.

As Akhunbaev noted, "clean generation" is growing rapidly, but consumption is still outpacing this growth. The main factors contributing to the increase in demand are well known: they include industrial development, digitalization, new data centers, as well as electric transport, population growth, and urbanization. In this regard, he emphasized that a key issue remains the ability of energy systems to meet the new wave of demand without causing shortages and price spikes, which is particularly relevant for Central Asia.
