Wind, solar power plants, and small hydropower stations in Kazakhstan generated 8.6 billion kWh of electricity in 2025.

- In Kazakhstan, wind, solar power plants, and small hydropower plants produced 8.6 billion kWh of electricity in 2025, according to data from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, published on January 20.

Electricity generation increased by 13.7% compared to 2024, and the share of renewable energy sources in the country's overall energy balance reached 7%.

Of the total electricity generation, the majority was provided by wind energy, amounting to 5.4 billion kWh, followed by solar power plants at 2.0 billion kWh, and small hydropower plants at 1.2 billion kWh.
