Participants in the meeting included CAIH Board Member Gezer Selchuk, Chairman of the Management Board Sur Mukhammet Haluk, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors Tariel Ermeev, and other company representatives.
During the discussion, issues related to the preparation of a preliminary feasibility study for the construction of the Kazarman Hydroelectric Cascade were addressed. The parties reviewed the project presentation and discussed the next steps for implementation and coordination of actions within the framework of existing investment agreements.
Representatives of JSC "CAIH" provided information on the current status of work and outlined the main approaches and achievements at the stage of preparing the preliminary feasibility study.
Note:
On August 2, 2025, an investment agreement was signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and JSC "Central Asian Investment Holding" for the implementation of the project for the construction of the Kazarman Hydroelectric Cascade.
The project includes the construction and operation of hydropower plants, as well as their design, maintenance, and electricity generation at the following facilities:
- Alabugin Hydropower Plant — 600 MW;
- Kara-Bulun-1 Hydropower Plant — 149 MW;
- Kara-Bulun-2 Hydropower Plant — 163 MW.
The total installed capacity of the cascade will be 912 MW.
The expected investment volume under this agreement is 3 billion dollars. The project will be implemented 100% with the investor's own funds without state financing involvement.
