





In the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region, the construction of the small hydroelectric power station "Papan" is actively continuing, which will have a capacity of 27 MW.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Energy, the following works have been completed at this stage:
- the construction of an 8-kilometer temporary road to the site of the hydroelectric power station has been completed;
- the land plot for the installation of the water intake in the Papan reservoir has already been allocated;
- currently, the process of land allocation and transformation is underway to create a production hub that will include the hydroelectric power station building and an open switchgear with a voltage of 110 kV (OSG-110 kV);
- technical conditions for using electricity during construction have been developed and approved;
- issues regarding land allocation for the installation of supports for the overhead power line 110 kV, connecting the Papan hydroelectric power station with the 110 kV line "Uzlova - Besh-Moynok" are also being addressed.
It is worth noting that on October 5, 2024, a ceremonial laying of the first capsule of the Papan hydroelectric power station took place.
