Currently, the following stages of work have been completed:
- a temporary access road 8 km long has been built to the construction site;
- a land plot has been allocated for the creation of a water intake in the Papan reservoir;
- technical conditions for the use of electricity during the construction process have been prepared and approved.
In addition, the process of land allocation and transformation is underway to create a production hub that will include the HPP building and a 110 kV switchgear. Issues regarding land allocation for the installation of supports for the 110 kV overhead power line, which will connect the Papan HPP with the "Uzlovaya - Besh-Moynok" line, are being resolved.
Work on the design and estimate documentation is also ongoing, a preliminary construction plan has been established, access to the Papan reservoir area has been granted, and engineering surveys are continuing, as stated in the press release.
The capsule-laying ceremony for the Papan HPP took place on October 5, 2024.
