At the meeting, data on electricity consumption in the Kyrgyz Republic was presented, which amounted to 19.3 billion kWh last year.
In 2025, the country generated 15.4 billion kWh of electricity, of which:
- large hydropower plants produced 12.9 billion kWh;
- small hydropower plants — 0.223 billion kWh;
- mini-hydropower plants and renewable energy sources (solar and wind power plants) — 0.234 billion kWh;
- thermal power plants (TPP) — 2.01 billion kWh.
The volume of electricity imports from neighboring countries amounted to 3.8 billion kWh.
