The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (GKNB) reported the identification of a social media user who was planning to commit a terrorist act. Posts about the preparation of terrorist actions in kindergartens and secondary schools in the village of Kazarman were published on the page "Kazaraman Advertising" on Facebook under an anonymous account.
During operational activities, it was established that an 8th-grade student from one of the schools in the Toguz-Toruy district, known by the initials “B.K.”, under the influence of internet terrorists and psychological pressure, intended to carry out a terrorist act.
Currently, the GKNB of the KR is conducting the necessary investigative actions regarding the detainee to take measures in accordance with the current legislation of the country.
The State Committee reminds citizens that for committing serious and especially serious crimes, responsibility begins at the age of 14, and the threat of committing a terrorist act may result in punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to ten years.
