In Jalal-Abad Region, an 8th Grader Wanted to Carry Out a Terrorist Attack in Schools and Kindergartens

The State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan has revealed information about a young internet terrorist who threatened local schools and kindergartens in the Toguz-Toro district of the Jalal-Abad region. It has been established that he is an 8th grader.

According to the SCNS, messages about planned terrorist acts in educational institutions in the village of Kazarman were posted on the Facebook page "Kazarman Advertising." The posts were published from a fake account.

In an official statement, the SCNS said: "During operational-search activities, an 8th-grade student, B.K., was identified. He was under the influence of internet terrorists and acted under psychological pressure, intending to commit a terrorist act."

Currently, investigative actions are being conducted regarding the detained individual, and the SCNS is taking measures in accordance with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan.

The agency also reminded that criminal liability for committing serious and particularly serious crimes begins at the age of 14. A threat of terrorism is punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to ten years.
