The press service of the Ministry of Nature reports that the meeting discussed areas of strategic cooperation and opportunities for expanding interaction between Kyrgyzstan and the World Bank in the field of sustainable development.
Participants at the meeting emphasized the need to improve air quality, enhance resilience to climate change, and the progress of the project "Improving Air Quality in the Kyrgyz Republic," funded by the World Bank. Additionally, ways to strengthen joint efforts in promoting the Mountain Agenda were discussed.
Minister Mashiev highlighted that the Ministry of Nature is actively engaged in the development and adoption of legislation in the field of climate activities, which should establish legal and economic mechanisms for the country's transition to low-carbon and sustainable development.
