In Bishkek, the launch of the regional project 'Green Cities' was discussed









In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a meeting took place today between the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision and representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

During the discussion, the representatives of the agency announced the launch of the regional project "Green Cities," which is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of Germany.

The project includes Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, with the main partner from Kyrgyzstan being the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision.

The main goal of this initiative is to develop international and regional cooperation, as well as to exchange best practices in the field of sustainable urban development. The project also aims to enhance institutional capacity and create master plans for the sustainable development of cities. Within the framework of the initiative, activities are planned for experience exchange between the cities of the participating countries, development of climate solutions, and implementation of modern approaches to managing environmental processes.

Participants in the meeting expressed their readiness for further cooperation and the implementation of specific steps within the "Green Cities" project to create a sustainable and environmentally safe urban environment in Kyrgyzstan.
