In Chuy Region, more than 20 species of birds have been recorded

From March 3 to 6, bird observations were conducted in the flooded areas of the Jayil, Moscow, and Sokuluk districts in the Chuy region. This information was presented by the NABU organization on March 9.

The monitoring was carried out by employees of the monitoring department of this organization.

As a result of the observations, over 20 bird species were recorded, among which the whooper swan, black goose, mallard, common goldeneye, white-tailed eagle, greater white-fronted goose, gull, white and gray heron, great crested grebe, red-headed duck, swan goose, little bittern, and whiskered tern stand out.

Organization specialists emphasized that such studies play a key role in monitoring the biological diversity of the region and help assess the status of populations of waterfowl and wetland birds.
