The Ministries of Education of Kyrgyzstan and Russia Discussed the Supply of Textbooks to Schools in Kyrgyzstan

Recently, a video conference took place between the Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan and its Russian counterpart, where issues related to the adaptation and supply of textbooks in the Russian language and literature were discussed.

Participants in the meeting included the Deputy Minister of Education of Kyrgyzstan, Nadira Dzhusupbekova, the director of the publishing house "Okuu Kitebi," Tologon Amatov, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Education of Russia and the publishing house "Prosveshchenie."

The main subject of discussion was the work on adapting textbooks for the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 8th grades of general educational institutions where instruction is conducted in Russian and Kyrgyz languages.

It was also noted that in the autumn of 2025, Russia plans to supply 651,000 textbooks on the courses "Russian Language and Reading" for students in the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 7th grades to Kyrgyz schools where instruction is conducted in Russian.

In addition, the participants of the meeting reviewed the stages of supplying the remaining textbooks, which include materials on "Russian Language and Reading" for the 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades with Kyrgyz as the language of instruction, as well as books on "Russian Literature" for the 5th and 7th grades of schools with Russian as the language of instruction and "Russian and World Literature" for the 7th grades with Kyrgyz as the language of instruction.

At the conclusion of the video conference, emphasis was placed on the importance of adhering to the established academic load, ensuring that textbooks comply with current educational standards, as well as on the next steps for coordinating materials and integrating textbooks into the educational process.
