The Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovations of the Kyrgyz Republic held a presentation of a new project titled "Quality and Innovations in Higher Education" (QIHE).
This project is being implemented under a financing agreement with the International Development Association, which is part of the World Bank.
The event was attended by the minister, as well as heads of various structural divisions and departments of the ministry.
As emphasized during the presentation, the QIHE project represents a systemic reform aimed at improving the competitiveness of higher education in Kyrgyzstan, developing scientific research, and implementing innovative solutions.
The main objective of this project is to create a sustainable quality ecosystem that will meet both national priorities and international standards.
The event also presented key achievements at the current stage, strategic directions of work until 2026, and long-term development prospects until 2029.
Among the main goals of the project are:
- Improving the quality of scientific research in educational institutions.
- Adapting educational programs to labor market requirements.
- Enhancing the quality assurance system in higher education.
