In 2025, the construction and major repair of 117 educational institutions were completed in Kyrgyzstan. Of these, 76 facilities were built anew, and major repairs were conducted in 41 schools. Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov announced this at a national meeting.
According to him, the completed works have created 17,000 additional places for students.
From 2021 to 2025, the construction of 673 facilities was completed in the country, including 394 schools and 147 kindergartens, as well as major repairs of 114 schools and 18 kindergartens.
Currently, there are 2,394 general education schools operating in Kyrgyzstan, where 1,536,633 students are enrolled, which is 45,800 more compared to 2024.
