Today, January 28, a meeting was held in Kara-Kul with representatives of businesses operating in the food service sector. This was reported by the press service of the mayor's office.

The event was attended by Deputy Mayor Manas Abdykalykov and Taalaybek Umetov, head of the Kara-Kul office of the State Tax Service in the Jalal-Abad region.

During the meeting, changes to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Resolution No. 560, adopted in September 2014, regarding the regulation of trade activities in the country were discussed.

Experts explained to entrepreneurs the new requirements concerning the open and accurate indication of prices for services, referring to Articles 7 and 27 of the Law "On Consumer Rights Protection," as well as Articles 13 and 17 of the Constitutional Law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic."

According to the new requirements:

additional service charges are not allowed;

separate fees for waiter services, table setting, or food delivery should not be established;

all prices must be clearly indicated in the menu or price list;

the total bill must not exceed the price indicated in the menu.

These measures are aimed at protecting consumer rights and eliminating misunderstandings between clients and entrepreneurs.

During the event, participants asked questions and received comprehensive answers.
