Medications worth 1.6 million soms will be delivered for children's oncology in Bishkek and Osh

Charity from participants from Germany and the USA

Today, January 29, it was announced at the Institute for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood about the transfer of medications for children's oncology in Bishkek and Osh worth over 1.6 million soms.

This assistance became possible thanks to a charitable initiative conducted from August 15 to 30, 2025, by two participants of the Silk Road Mountain Race — Patrick Meyerle from Germany and Peter Bree from the USA. This cycling race, considered one of the toughest in the world, took place in Kyrgyzstan.

Patrick and Peter dedicated their participation in the race to children with cancer in Kyrgyzstan, raising 15,809 euros during the campaign. The event was organized in collaboration with the charitable organization "Umai - Hilfe für Kirgistan e.V" ("Umai") and the fund “Helping is Easy” from Kyrgyzstan.

This is already the second charitable campaign in which Patrick participates during the “Silk Road” cycling race. Last year, he managed to raise about 1 million soms, which were transferred through the “Umai” organization to the “Helping is Easy” fund for the purchase of medications for children in the country.
