Recently, a charity event took place in the Osh region aimed at supporting Pamir Kyrgyz — ethnic Kyrgyz returning from Afghanistan and living in the high mountainous areas of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the organizers, the event was held on January 8-9 under the leadership of Sultanali Azhy Gapurov, the acting representative of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan in the Osh region. The event was organized with the assistance of the international fund "Emirat" and covered villages such as Sary-Tash, Sary-Mogol, and Taldy-Suu in the Pamir-Alai rural area of the Aksy district, as well as the village of Burgan-Suu in the Chon-Alai district.
As part of the event, residents were provided with 100 tons of coal and 5 tons of food products. Heaters, blankets, bedding, and winter clothing for children were also distributed.
In addition, special assistance was provided to a single mother from the village of Sary-Mogol — she was given a cow.
Representatives of the international fund "Emirat" noted that they plan to continue supporting families in difficult situations and are considering the possibility of building housing for those who do not have their own homes or live in emergency conditions.
