At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 29, Bekeshev emphasized the need to introduce a new rule that any construction in Bishkek must undergo an analysis regarding potential traffic jams and environmental consequences beforehand.

The deputy noted that he has received numerous complaints from residents of "Vostok-5".

He said: "The construction of a non-food store 7/4 opposite school No. 66 has already led to significant traffic jams. Traffic in Bishkek has reached a critical point. I am not against business development, but an analysis must be conducted before allowing such projects: will there be traffic jams, is it necessary to plant trees, and so on. It is essential to know the opinion of local residents, at least to conduct a survey. They are categorically against this construction. And such situations are observed throughout the city," the parliamentarian added.

Dastan Bekeshev called on the Jogorku Kenesh to develop a directive requiring relevant agencies to conduct a situational analysis before issuing permits for such facilities.
