During the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Almaz Imangaziev, reported on negotiations with Uzbekistan regarding the cancellation of requirements for purchasing insurance and paying for window tinting for Kyrgyz citizens crossing Uzbek territory in transit.

He noted that this issue is currently under discussion and resolution.

Dastan Bekeshev, one of the deputies, raised the problem, stating that Kyrgyz citizens traveling through Uzbekistan face the necessity of purchasing insurance and paying for window tinting, which is not required from the Kyrgyz side. "Maybe we should ask our neighbors to remove this requirement?" he questioned.

Imangaziev confirmed that such a request has already been conveyed to the Uzbek side, which is currently carrying out the necessary internal procedures.

He also added that if Uzbekistan does not cancel these fees in the near future, Kyrgyzstan may introduce similar tariffs for Uzbek citizens.
