Starting from January 1, 2027, one-time payments under the "Bala Berekе" program will begin in Kyrgyzstan, intended for mothers of approximately 11,000 children. This was reported by Adel Zhoomartova, the chief specialist of the state benefits department of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, in an interview with the Kabar agency.

She noted that the presidential decree to launch the "Bala Berekе" program will come into effect on January 1, 2026. However, payments will only be made after the child reaches one year of age, which means that the first payments will be made in 2027.

The program covers mothers who permanently reside in high-altitude areas of the country and have given birth to their fourth and subsequent children. The amount of the one-time payment varies depending on the birth order: from 100,000 soms for the fourth child to 2 million soms for the tenth and each subsequent child.

To receive the payments, the applicant must have lived in the specified area for at least two years prior to submitting the application.

Applications for funds can be submitted within six months after the child turns one year old. Payments will be made to the mother's bank account.

The ministry also clarified that if twins or triplets are born as a result of the fourth childbirth, these children are considered fourth and subsequent, and payments will be calculated separately for each child according to the established amounts.

According to the National Statistical Committee, in 2024, there were 1,900 mothers registered in Kyrgyzstan who gave birth to between four and ten children.
