Deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva emphasized that young people often take out loans through apps without sufficient financial stability.
During the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva raised the issue of the need to tighten control over online lending among youth.
She noted that currently, loans through mobile applications are too easily accessible, which creates risks for young people who do not have a stable income.
“Many young people take loans without having a stable income,” Kultaeva added.
As a protective measure, the deputy proposed implementing a requirement for mandatory parental consent for individuals under 25 years old to obtain loans. She also believes that a self-restriction on taking loans for this age group should be introduced, which could only be lifted with parental consent.
In her opinion, such initiatives will help shield young people from financial difficulties and thoughtless debt obligations.
