Gulsharkan Kultaeva, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, has proposed an initiative that would prohibit commercial banks and microfinance organizations from issuing loans to citizens aged 18 to 25 without the consent of their parents.

During the discussion of amendments to the law "On the Exchange of Credit Information," she emphasized that young people can easily obtain loans through banking apps, even without a stable income.

“Many of them are unemployed, some depend on their parents' finances. They conceal their actions and take out loans without their parents' knowledge. This negatively affects the future of young people, as they lack basic financial literacy,” the deputy added.

The Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, Medet Tairov, confirmed that this issue will be discussed with representatives of the banks.
