In the Bishkek City Hall, a meeting took place between Mayor Aibek Junushaliev and representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This was reported by the press service of the municipality.
During the discussions, the parties touched upon topics of joint projects, including initiatives in the field of heating and water supply, as well as the capital's participation in the EBRD's "Green Cities" program.
The mayor spoke about key initiatives being implemented in Bishkek, including the construction of an eco-technological plant and programs for greening and improving air quality. In 2025, it is planned to plant 19,000 trees, and in 2026 — about 50,000 seedlings.
The bank representatives, in turn, expressed their readiness to support the implementation of projects outlined in the General Plan for the Development of Bishkek until 2050.
“We thank you for the support you provide. We appreciate your assistance at all stages — from project preparation to execution. We are always open to further cooperation,” noted Aibek Junushaliev.
As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue joint cooperation in the implementation of projects.
