KR strengthens cooperation with Hungary within the framework of the student scholarship program

During the meeting between the Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovations Gulzat Isamatova and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan Sandor Dorogi, current issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of science and education were discussed.

According to the press service of the ministry, the parties expressed a desire to update the legal framework for cooperation between the countries and emphasized the importance of joint events planned for 2026. Attention was also drawn to the development of academic mobility and strengthening ties between universities.

One of the key topics of discussion was the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program initiated by Hungary. Thanks to this program, Kyrgyz citizens have the opportunity to study at the best universities in the country. It was previously reported that there are 200 quotas available for students from Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their commitment to deepen strategic partnership, expand educational exchanges, and develop scientific and technical cooperation, as well as identify key areas of joint activities and reach an agreement on further collaboration.
