Hungary is interested in Kyrgyzstan's experience in implementing digital technologies in elections

On January 23, the Deputy Chairperson of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda, Aydana Zhupueva, met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan, Shandor Dorogi. This information was provided by the press service of the CEC.

During the discussion, representatives of the two countries addressed issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of electoral processes and the exchange of experiences of electoral bodies.

The Hungarian ambassador emphasized the country's interest in the experience of the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan, particularly in the context of applying modern digital technologies in elections and implementing gender quotas.

The meeting also discussed the establishment of a polling station for Hungarian citizens in Kyrgyzstan, specifically at the embassy in Bishkek, in connection with the parliamentary elections scheduled for April 12, 2026.

In addition, Shandor Dorogi invited representatives of the CEC to participate in international observation of the parliamentary elections in Hungary.

Aydana Zhupueva confirmed Kyrgyzstan's readiness to actively participate in this observation and noted the importance of further developing cooperation between the electoral bodies of the two countries.
