The Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the selection of banks that will be responsible for opening specialized accounts for the electoral funds of candidates and political parties. This is related to the upcoming repeat elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh in the № 13 multi-mandate district.
According to the decision of the CEC, "Eldik Bank" and "Aiyl Bank" have been chosen to open these accounts. These financial institutions will service the accounts related to the by-elections scheduled for March 1, 2026.
Additionally, the CEC's resolution provides for the possibility of using mobile applications of the specified banks to collect voluntary donations to the special accounts of the electoral funds.
The oversight of the implementation of this decision has been entrusted to the control, verification, and audit sector of the Central Election Commission's office.
