In Bishkek, 369 people were fined for riding buses without a ticket

In 2025, 369 cases of fines for fare evasion on public transport were recorded in Bishkek. The total amount of imposed fines amounted to 369,000 soms, as reported by the city administration.

Since 2024, raids have been conducted in the capital aimed at identifying passengers who have not paid for their bus rides. Inspections are carried out by Bishkekshaartransport employees in cooperation with the Tulpar institution.

The fine for fare evasion is 1,000 soms.

The fare for municipal buses in the capital is 17 soms when paid using a transport card and 20 soms when paid in cash. A special "Tulpar" card is available for schoolchildren, allowing them to pay for their ride for 8 soms. Pensioners and people with disabilities can use the buses for free.
