In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, 369 cases of unpaid fares on public transport were recorded in 2025.
According to the city administration, protocols were drawn up against these violators, and each was fined 1000 soms, totaling 369,000 soms.
Raids to monitor fare payment were organized by the Department of Transport Development and Road Infrastructure in collaboration with the municipal enterprise "Bishkek City Transport" and the company "Tulpar".
Inspections are conducted daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and aim to improve discipline among passengers.
During these activities, administrative measures are applied to citizens who have not paid their fares, including the drawing up of protocols and imposing fines in accordance with current legislation.
It is worth noting that the initiative to organize these activities was launched back in 2024. In the first quarter, training and explanatory work was carried out to inform citizens about the rules of using public transport and the necessity of fare payment.
The city administration urges passengers to strictly adhere to the rules and pay their fares on time, which will contribute to the development and stable operation of the public transport system in the capital.
