A press conference was held in Bishkek dedicated to the achievements and future of hockey in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Present at the event were the Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kazybek Moldazhiyev, the President of the Hockey Federation of Kyrgyzstan, Anvar Omorkanov, as well as the First Vice President of the Federation, Elzar Bolotbekov. The meeting also covered the successes of the national U20 team, which won the championship title of the third division group B at the World Hockey Championship held in the country.
During the press conference, emphasis was placed on the main directions for the development of hockey in Kyrgyzstan. Participants discussed the historic victory of the youth team, as well as preparations for the U18 Asia Cup, which will take place on April 27 in Kyrgyzstan.
Additionally, plans were announced for the national team’s participation in the second division group B under the auspices of IIHF in Bulgaria, as well as the performances of the hockey clubs "Uchur" and "Alga" at the open championship of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the end of the press conference, representatives of the Federation and the State Agency answered journalists' questions and shared plans for the development of hockey infrastructure, work with youth, and the expansion of international cooperation.
