The committee discussed a draft law that proposes an increase in monetary contributions for those undergoing alternative service. According to information from the Ministry of Defense, in 2024, 714 million soms are expected to be received from alternative service.
The deputy requested clarification on the current salary level of civilian employees. In response, a representative of the Ministry of Defense acknowledged that the situation with salaries indeed leaves much to be desired. According to him, in accordance with the order of the Minister of Defense, 7000 soms are allocated from special funds, 2000 soms are designated for transportation expenses, and 5000 soms are for daily meals. After tax deductions, the employee receives about 5600 soms.
As for the overall salary of civilian personnel, in high-altitude areas it ranges from 26,000 to 30,000 soms, while in Bishkek it is approximately 20,000 soms.
In conclusion, Deputy Primov expressed the need to raise salaries for civilian employees and called for increased efforts in this direction.
