In the Kara-Kulja district, in the village of Zhulgur, efforts continue to search for a 37-year-old man who was caught under a snow avalanche. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
As of February 3, 126 people are involved in the search operation, including an operational group from the Emergency Situations Department of the Osh region, 12 rescuers from the Republican Separate Rescue Squad, who are using drones, as well as rescuers from the district's Emergency Situations Department, police officers, local authorities, and village residents. Specialized equipment has been brought in to clear the roads.
The snow avalanche occurred on January 31. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also noted that they had previously warned about possible avalanche hazards in this region.
