Maksat Alimov, who became a symbol of Kyrgyz futsal, has concluded his participation in the national team. His farewell match took place during the group stage of the 2026 Asian Cup, where the team faced South Korea.
Alimov first took to the field as part of the national team in 2013, participating in the qualifying matches for the 2014 Asian Cup. Throughout his career, he represented the country in five Asian Cups, and from 2018 to 2025, he led the team as captain, scoring numerous crucial goals and inspiring his teammates to victory.
His significant contribution to the development of Kyrgyz futsal is recognized by both fans and the federation, highlighting his dedication, fighting spirit, and true love for the game.
