Maksat Alimov has announced his retirement from the national futsal team. This information was confirmed by the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU).

According to the KFU, Alimov's last match for the national team took place during the group stage of the 2026 Asian Cup against the South Korean team.
Alimov began his career with the national team in 2013, participating in the qualifying matches for the Asian Cup. Since then, his name has become an integral part of the history of Kyrgyz futsal.
He participated in five Asian Cups and served as the team captain from 2018 to 2025, scoring numerous key goals and becoming a true leader, inspiring his teammates to victories, as noted in the KFU statement.
The KFU expressed gratitude to Maksat Alimov for his significant contribution to the development of futsal in Kyrgyzstan.
