In the Kochkor region, located in the Naryn province, hunters showcased the skins of wolves they had shot.

At a recent commission meeting, it was revealed that since the beginning of 2026, local hunters have killed 30 (thirty) wolves and 41 (forty-one) jackals.

According to veterinary regulations, the shot jackals were buried in special pits in Bekkari under the supervision of a veterinarian and then treated with chlorine lime.

As reported in mid-January 2025 by Turmush, predators caused damage to livestock breeders in the Naryn region amounting to 23 million 139 thousand soms over the past year.

As a result of predator attacks, 64 head of cattle, 368 horses, and 214 sheep and goats were killed. As part of measures developed with the participation of hunters, 103 wolves, 1 wolf pup, and 181 jackals were eliminated in the region.

According to a government decree, a reward is provided for the shooting of predatory animals: 6,000 soms for a wolf, 1,500 soms for a wolf pup, and 2,000 soms for a jackal.

After submitting all the necessary documents, hunters receive a reward of 4,800 soms for a wolf, 1,600 soms for a jackal, and 1,200 soms for a wolf pup, taking into account taxes and contributions to the Social Fund.
