According to the new master plan for the development of Kyrgyzstan's capital, Bishkek is expected to see a significant increase in green areas and the creation of new parks. This was announced by Mederbek Kydyrmaev, head of the State Enterprise "Bishkekglarhitektura," during a live broadcast on the "Kabar" agency.
According to Kydyrmaev, the current area of green spaces in Bishkek is only 4.5 square meters per person, while the established norm is 16 square meters. As a result, the project places special emphasis on the ecological development of the city.
The master plan includes specific areas for the creation of new green zones and parks, as well as provisions for landscaping the edges of major highways. In addition, plans are in place to carry out cleaning and improvement works along the banks of the Ala-Archa and Alamedin rivers.
As part of the initiative, it is also proposed to create a large park in the territory of the village of Kok-Zhar, which should contribute to improving the ecological situation and enhancing the quality of the urban environment.
