











On February 5, 2026, a meeting took place in Bishkek to discuss ways of cooperation between local authorities and NGOs working with people with disabilities.
This event was organized by the Department of Social Development of the Mayor's Office, aimed at developing partnerships and formulating proposals to improve the quality of life for such citizens.
The discussion was attended by Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva, Director of the Department of Social Development Aizada Junusova, her deputy Larisa Gubina, as well as more than 25 representatives of NGOs, including the Public Organization of the Coalition of Organizations for the Disabled and the Coalition of Organizations for the Disabled, the Public Foundation "Hear Me," the Public Foundation "Together for Health," the Charitable Foundation "Zhanyrtyu," the Center for Hearing and Speech Development, the Public Organization "Ardi," and the Republic Independent Association of Women with Disabilities.
Ermek Jusupov, head of the social department of the Public Organization of the Coalition of Organizations for the Disabled and the Coalition of Organizations for the Disabled, presented a project for the digitalization of data on people with disabilities, which involves creating a unified database to enhance the quality of social services. The meeting participants discussed the initiative, offered their ideas, and outlined further steps for cooperation.
The meeting also featured an open exchange of opinions, and participants noted the importance of strengthening interaction between government structures and NGOs, working together to update information about people with disabilities, and developing effective mechanisms for their support.
