A discussion dedicated to the use of the state language in service and advertising took place in Bishkek. This was reported by the city administration.
On February 5, 2026, a meeting was held in the Sverdlovsk district, attended by leaders and representatives of various public service centers, civil registry offices, as well as major shopping and entertainment complexes, beauty salons, banks, markets, cafes and restaurants, hotels, sports institutions, cinemas, printing houses, and stores.
The agenda included issues related to compliance with the legislation on the state language in the service sector, as well as the use of this language in visual materials and advertising products. The necessity of coordinating texts in the state language with the local executive authority was discussed.
Key figures participated in the event, including the chairman of the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy Melisa Muratalieva, head of the department Almagul Telekmanova, leading specialist Ainura Sooronbaeva, head of the analysis and monitoring department Gulnur Kaparova, and Elvira Niyazbekova, head of the state language department in the Bishkek city administration.
Participants were given practical advice aimed at enhancing the role of the state language in the activities of organizations operating in the service sector.
