The cherry blossom festival in Japan has been canceled due to the bad behavior of tourists
According to Kyodo News, Japan has decided to cancel the cherry blossom festival this year. The reason is complaints about the inappropriate behavior of tourists.

The leadership of the city of Fujiyoshida, located at the foot of the famous Mount Fuji, made this decision due to the large number of tourists who were causing inconveniences for local residents. Many people complained about traffic jams and litter left on the streets. Additionally, some residents reported that tourists were using their private properties as restrooms.

Fujiyoshida is a popular destination among travelers due to its picturesque view of Fuji and the blooming cherry blossoms, which create a unique backdrop for photographs.

The mayor of the city noted: “We made this decision to protect the dignity and comfort of our citizens by canceling the festival that has been held for the past ten years.”
