Vice Mayor of the city Nurlan Zakirov, diplomats from the Kyrgyz Embassy in Uzbekistan, and local residents participated in the festive event.
At the event, the deputy mayor emphasized the importance of Navoi's spiritual heritage for the Turkic world: “We have gathered here to commemorate 585 years since the birth of this great thinker, wise poet, and statesman. This day symbolizes not only the memory of the Uzbek people but also the reverence for an outstanding personality who left behind a rich spiritual legacy for the entire Turkic world. His works celebrate the ideas of justice, humanity, the pursuit of knowledge, and service to the people,” he added.
