Regarding the incident involving a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, B.B., in Chicago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country made a series of statements:
“The Ministry held a meeting with the relatives of the detained individual. At the same time, the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Chicago established contact with him. During the phone conversation, a consular-legal consultation was conducted, and recommendations for further actions were provided.”
Furthermore, after the final place of detention for B.B. is determined, the consulate staff plans to visit for a consular meeting.
“The Ministry and the foreign institutions of Kyrgyzstan continue to closely monitor the situation, maintain communication with the relatives, and provide necessary consular-legal assistance within their authority,” the department added.
